Hi all!
For those who remember it, I created A Gourmet Vagabond, now The Spritz Pulse, in my bedroom back in 2020, during the first COVID-19 lockdown. I wanted to make people discover what makes our world extraordinary through fun facts and food/travel recommendations. I wanted to show its cultural differences and similarities by sharing travel itineraries to follow in various cities and food recommendations.
Then, I started working for a PR agency in France and did not have as much time to write anymore. I was working extra hours, killing my mental health, and writing didn’t feel as fun as it was when I first started A Gourmet Vagabond. After burning out in March 2021, all I wanted was to escape to new adventures.
I decided to go back to school, and I left Paris for Seattle! I was offered a partial scholarship to study arts management, as I have always been passionate about the arts world in all of its forms. I have always repressed my wish to get more involved with the arts throughout my life. I was afraid my parents would not accept me studying for a major that many people consider, unfortunately, worthless in these capitalistic times. So, leaving for Seattle was very much freeing, because I finally got to get closer to what I actually wanted to pursue in life.
During my studies, I decided to create another website called Rapture Pop. The goal was to create a web magazine focused on arts and culture in Seattle and beyond. Yet another project I could not give enough love to. I was working full-time while getting my master’s degree and did not have the mental capacity to add Rapture Pop to my daily life.
Well, now that I graduated, I feel this urge to write again. I am incredibly happy to welcome you to The Spritz Pulse!! I decided to start fresh and combine my two old websites into one. The Spritz Pulse is a website where I will talk here about a variety of subjects that I am passionate about, including the arts, traveling, food, history, and whatever else I feel like covering because, WHY NOT! I want to include articles and interviews about local and international artists, arts and culture events, as well as travel guides and recipes.
This is not a goodbye to A Gourmet Vagabond or Rapture Pop at all. The Spritz Pulse includes both concepts and is a love letter to the subjects I hold dear in my heart. Hoping you will discover new things and have fun while reading my various articles, I wish you a nice stay on my website!
Love love always,
SamSam
