Hi all!
For those who remember it, I created A Gourmet Vagabond in my bedroom, back in 2020 during Covid. I wanted to make people discover what makes our world extraordinary through fun facts and food/travel recommendations. I wanted to show its cultural differences and similarities by sharing travel itineraries to follow in various cities and food recommendations.
Then, I started working for a PR agency in Paris, France and did not have as much time to write anymore. I was working extra hours, killing my mental health for pretty much nothing, and writing didn’t seem as fun as it was when I first started A Gourmet Vagabond. After burning out in March 2021, all I wanted was to escape to new adventures.
I decided to go back to school, and I left Paris for Seattle as I was offered a partial scholarship to study arts management, which, I thought, could get me closer to the art world. I have always repressed my desire to get more involved with the arts throughout my life. I was afraid my parents would not accept me studying for a major they deemed “doomed for unemployment” (hence why I went to business school for undergrad, lol). So, leaving for Seattle was very much freeing, because I finally got to get closer to what I actually wanted to pursue in life.
During my studies, I decided to create another website called Rapture Pop. The goal was to create a web magazine focused on arts and culture in Seattle and beyond. Yet another project I also neglected because I was working full-time while getting my master’s degree and simply did not have the mental capacity to add Rapture Pop to my daily life.
Well, nowwww that I graduated, I feel this urge to write again. I am incredibly happy to welcome you to The Spritz Pulse!! I decided to start fresh and not constrain myself by the different themes I imposed on myself with my two previous websites. I will talk here about a variety of subjects that I am passionate about, including the arts, traveling, food, history, and whatever else I feel like covering because WHY NOT! I want to include articles and interviews about local and international artists, arts and culture events, as well as travel guides and recipes.
This is not a goodbye to A Gourmet Vagabond or Rapture Pop, as both concepts will fuel my writing here. Hoping you will discover new things and have fun while reading my various articles, I wish you a nice stay on my website!
Love you,
SamSam
